In our conversations around the new Renovare ministry Stepping Stones we have been talking about the differences between spiritual formation and character formation.  This led me to outline the below non-linear process, which I think is a fair presentation of how a person moves towards Christlikeness over time and includes both the phrases “spiritual formation” and “character formation” as part of the process.

Human creativity, ingenuity and productivity are all gifts to us by God.  They are, no doubt, some of the sweet fruitfulness we enjoy from being made in God’s image as each of those traits originate in our Creator God.   

It's still the new year, isn't it?

 I’m sure it started with a smirky look and words with tone. But the fight was on. Two sibling daughters throwing down over a Lego. Yes, a Lego. 

When places of connection with God become stale, routine or filled with busy-ness, God invites us to see things in a new way.
